BEST NOVICE
VASSIE NAYANAH
TITLE : FUN WITH TECHNIQUES

The Judges comments: Silver**
A very pleasing design with lovely colouring.  The big leaf at the top is rather heavy and makes it top heavy.  Perhaps you could have cut it smaller and placed some pink cane to the back for more depth.

Your modern design and traditional container work well together.  We love the dry manipulated leaves.  Perhaps one of your strelitzia leaves could have crossed the front of the container to eliminate the dominant effect of the container.

SUE MEADOWS
TITLE: EVOLVING IMAGES

The Judges comments: Gold*
What an interesting design to depict ‘evolving images’.  The wood at the base creates a perfect balance.  The front foot of the stand is bent outwards and creates a slight distraction.  Otherwise well done.

BEST USE OF COLOUR AND MOST INNOVATIVE DESIGN
LEILA PARUK
TITLE: EVOLVING IMAGES

The Judges comments:  Gold
Such a creative design with eye catching colouring.  By moving each one closer a bit (2-3cm) would have given better unity of the design.
